Amid the pressure facing the global energy market, PETRONAS has confirmed that the fuel supply across its national network of service stations is guaranteed until the end of June 2026.

This update extends the previous forecast, which only anticipated availability until the end of May, and reinforces the message of stability in a context marked by geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

Extension of Fuel Supply Amid Energy Crisis

According to the Malaysian state-owned company, the decision is a response to active management of its supply chain. PETRONAS has indicated that it maintains adequate inventory levels nationwide, which allows for sustained continuity of supply.

Likewise, the international environment continues to be conditioned by the volatility of energy markets. The conflict in West Asia has generated uncertainty in the global flow of hydrocarbons, affecting prices and logistics.

PETRONAS’ Key Role in the Domestic Market

PETRONAS covers approximately 50% of the fuel demand in Malaysia through its subsidiary PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, one of the country’s main distributors.

The rest of the supply comes from other oil companies operating in the local market, forming a mixed system that largely depends on logistical stability.

Call for Responsible Consumption

Given this scenario, the company has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a reliable supply for the population. It has also urged citizens to avoid impulsive purchases or hoarding of fuel.

Responsible consumption, according to the company, is a key factor in maintaining equitable access to fuel nationwide during this period of energy tension.
