Ethics Policy
Editorial independence, transparency, and ethical conduct in everything we publish.
Last updated: May 2026Commitment to editorial ethics
Inspenet strives to uphold ethical standards consistent with the best editorial and journalistic practices applicable to specialized technical media. Editorial ethics form the foundation of the trust that our audience and the technical community place in us. To learn how these principles are applied in practice, please also see our Editorial Policy.
Editorial independence
Editorial independence is the cornerstone of our operations. Decisions regarding what content to produce, how to research it, how to present it, and when to publish it are made exclusively by the editorial team, without interference from investors, advertisers, business partners, or any other external parties.
- The editorial team strives to remain independent of commercial or external interests.
- Coverage of a company or product is not contingent on the existence of a business relationship.
- Editors and staff writers have the authority to reject or modify content that they believe compromises editorial integrity.
- Inspenet strives to maintain editorial independence from external influences that could compromise the integrity of its published content.
Conflicts of interest
Inspenet requires all members of the editorial team to disclose any potential conflicts of interest before participating in the production of content.
- Team members must not cover companies, products, or individuals with whom they have a direct financial relationship or a close family relationship.
- When a conflict of interest is unavoidable, it must be explicitly disclosed in the published content.
- Accepting gifts, invitations, or benefits from sources, companies, or stakeholders is prohibited, except for standard press materials or events open to the public.
- Any paid outside work must be reported.
Business partnerships, sponsored content, and advertisers
Inspenet may publish sponsored content, branded content, or materials produced in collaboration with business partners:
- Identification: Sponsored content or content developed through commercial partnerships may be identified in accordance with the editorial context and applicable transparency practices.
- Visual and editorial separation distinguish sponsored content from editorial content.
- Without external editorial oversight: the editorial team reserves the right to edit, modify, or reject submissions.
- No veiled references: It is prohibited to provide favorable coverage in exchange for compensation without disclosing it.
Business relationships, institutional partnerships, media partnerships, or corporate collaborations do not automatically determine the editorial approach of published content. Sponsored, promotional, or commercially developed content may be identified when the editorial context requires it. The participation of companies, sponsors, or partners in interviews, events, or content does not imply absolute technical endorsement by Inspenet.
Inspenet's editorial decisions are made independently of any advertising, commercial, or institutional relationships.
Confidentiality of sources
Inspenet respects the confidentiality of sources who request anonymity. It does not disclose the identity of sources without their consent. It informs readers when information comes from anonymous sources. It seeks independent verification whenever possible.
Use of artificial intelligence
Inspenet may use technology tools and AI-based support systems for editorial, operational, or analytical tasks. These tools do not replace human editorial oversight or the professional responsibility of the Inspenet team.
- Content published under a human byline must be produced, reviewed, and approved by a person.
- Technical data generated or suggested by AI must be verified using primary sources.
- When AI is used in a significant way, Inspenet discloses this transparently.
- Generative AI is not used to fabricate quotes or attribute statements to real people.
All published information is subject to reasonable editorial review based on available resources, sources, and context.
Despite the editorial controls in place, the use of artificial intelligence tools may result in inaccuracies that go undetected during the editorial process. In such cases, Inspenet applies the review and correction procedures outlined in its editorial policies.
Automated summaries, excerpts generated by third parties, or reinterpretations using external artificial intelligence tools may not fully reflect the original context published by Inspenet.
Diversity of voices
Inspenet is committed to including a diversity of technical, geographic, and professional perspectives in its coverage, to the extent possible.
Independence in link handling
All external links published in any Inspenet content are selected in accordance with the platform’s independent editorial criteria. The decision to include, modify, or remove a link is based solely on an assessment of the destination content: its relevance, authority, usefulness to the reader, and alignment with the editorial strategy.
The inclusion and editorial treatment of links are based on criteria of relevance, usefulness, and editorial consistency, regardless of any existing commercial relationships. The assignment of the tracking attribute (dofollow or nofollow) is a strictly editorial decision.
No company, partner, contributor, or advertiser may dictate, negotiate, or influence the editorial treatment that the platform gives to its links.
Event coverage, companies, and solutions
Inspenet’s editorial coverage of events, companies, technologies, or industrial solutions does not constitute certification, technical validation, or a commercial recommendation by Inspenet.
Interviewees, contributors, and third parties
The opinions, statements, and assertions expressed by interviewees, contributors, or third parties are solely those of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the editorial position of Inspenet.
Right to update content
Inspenet reserves the right to update, modify, reorganize, or remove editorial content when necessary for editorial, technical, legal, strategic, or third-party protection reasons.
