Siemens Energy closed the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 with new all-time highs in orders, revenue, and profitability, driven by growing global demand for electrical infrastructure and strong business activity in the United States. The company also marked a turning point for Siemens Gamesa, which posted its first positive quarterly result since 2022 and remains on track to achieve operating break-even by 2026.
In addition to business growth, the company reported a significant improvement in project execution and cash flow generation. Order intake reached 17.9 billion euros, while the order book rose to 162 billion euros, the highest volume recorded by the group.
Siemens Energy drives a new order record
Commercial growth was primarily supported by strong demand in the United States, particularly in projects related to power generation and grid modernization.
Gas Services recorded a record volume of contracts, while Grid Technologies and Transformation of Industry also showed significant increases. As a result, the ratiobook-to-bill reached 1,57, reflecting that hiring continues to grow faster than revenue.
Revenues are growing across all businesses
Revenue increased by 18,5 % in comparable terms until reaching 11.4 billion euros, the highest quarterly volume achieved by Siemens Energy since its creation.
All divisions contributed to growth, boosted by the expansion of industrial capacity and the execution of projects in the pipeline.
Profit before extraordinary items amounted to 1.623 billion euros more than triple the figure from the previous year. This growth was due to greater operational efficiency and a general improvement in the performance of all business units.
Siemens Gamesa returns to positive numbers
One of the most relevant aspects of the quarter was the recovery of Siemens Gamesa, which made a profit for the first time since fiscal year 2022.
The wind power division was the segment that contributed most to the group’s profit increase, thanks to improved productivity, cost optimization, and the stabilization of its industrial activity. This progress keeps the company on track to reach its goal of achieving break-even by fiscal year 2026.
Christian Bruch, Siemens Energy’s president and CEO highlighted that global electricity demand continues to drive the company’s business and described Siemens Gamesa’s return to quarterly profitability as a significant achievement for the team.
Cash flow also reaches peak levels
Siemens Energy also recorded a pre-tax free cash flow of 2.319 billion euros, well above that obtained in the same period of the previous year.
The improvement was supported by higher operating profit and advances received from customers associated with the high volume of new contracts.
Siemens Energy maintains its forecasts for 2026
The company confirmed its upwardly revised forecasts after the first half of the year; Siemens Energy expects to close 2026 with comparable revenue growth of between 14% and 16%, a profit margin before extraordinary items located between the 10% and 12% a net profit close to 4 billion euros and a pre-tax free cash flow of around 8 billion euros the forecasts do not take into account possible impacts arising from future legal or regulatory proceedings.
