Oracle y Quantinuum will integrate Helios and OCI to combine quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance systems from the cloud.
Oracle and Quantinuum announced a multi-year strategic alliance to integrate the quantum computing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) the agreement will allow platform customers to access Helios, Quantinuum’s quantum computer, through a new Oracle quantum service.
In this way, quantum hardware will work alongside the high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU infrastructure available at OCI. The proposal aims to facilitate workloads that combine classical processing, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing within the same environment.
Helios will be installed in an Oracle data center
As part of the alliance, Helios will be deployed in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure AI data center in the United States its operation within OCI’s facilities will allow it to connect with computing, storage, networking, identity, and data services.
Furthermore, the integration will allow Oracle customers to maintain the access controls and governance they currently use. This eliminates the need for companies to directly purchase, install, and operate quantum hardware or specialized facilities to begin experimenting with this technology.
Helios was commercially launched in November 2025 and represents Quantinuum’s third generation of quantum computers. The system employs trapped-ion technology and features 98 physical qubits.
According to data published by the companies, the equipment achieves an average two-qubit gate fidelity of 99,921 % and has been used in demonstrations with 48 logic qubits.
Quantum computing, AI and HPC in the same infrastructure
One of the central aspects of the agreement is the creation of an environment of hybrid quantum-classical computing Oracle and Quantinuum want developers to be able to combine QPUs, GPUs, and HPC systems depending on the characteristics of each problem.
This architecture could be applied to tasks that require large computational resources, among the fields indicated by the companies are materials discovery, drug development, logistics, energy, financial modeling, and large-scale optimization.
Furthermore, both companies plan to explore the joint use of quantum computing and artificial intelligence for business and scientific workloads.

The alliance also envisions expanding access to these capabilities for universities and research institutions dedicated to scientific discovery and education.
Oracle is preparing a quantum service for OCI
On the other hand, Oracle plans to present a preview version of its OCI quantum service over the next few months. The platform will combine Quantinuum’s development tools with support for open hybrid programming frameworks.
The goal is for developers to be able to move from simulation to execution on real quantum hardware using Oracle’s infrastructure. They will also be able to create, test, and refine quantum-classical applications without directly managing the physical equipment.

Helios seeks to reduce the barrier to entry for quantum hardware
The availability of Helios via the cloud primarily changes how these resources are accessed, customers will be able to use quantum capacity managed by OCI without building dedicated facilities to house such a computer.
In addition to its 98 physical qubits, Quantinuum estimates that a Helios system consumes less than 1% of the energy used by leading supercomputers. This feature could make it quantum processing in a supplementary resource for certain hybrid loads where appropriate.
For now, Oracle and Quantinuum have not disclosed the financial terms of the alliance, nor has a definitive date been announced for the commercial availability of OCI’s quantum service.
