The oil supply to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline was restored in the early hours of April 23, 2026, as confirmed by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. Crude flow resumed around 2:00 a.m., thus restarting normal energy transport operations to the Central European country.

Druzhba Oil Flow Normalizes After Recent Interruptions

According to official information, the crude supply is being carried out according to the previously agreed daily schedule. Likewise, the technical pumping parameters remain within established levels, indicating stable operation of the transport system.

This restart follows a prolonged interruption in the flow of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, a key infrastructure for the energy imports of several Central European countries. In recent contexts, such interruptions have been linked to operational incidents and geopolitical tensions affecting supply logistics.

Continuous Monitoring of the Energy System

For its part, the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, in coordination with the operating company Transpetrol, maintains constant monitoring of the situation. Authorities have indicated that they remain in contact with partners involved in the supply chain to ensure the stability of crude flow.

Likewise, the government indicated that it would immediately report any relevant changes in supply conditions. This permanent monitoring seeks to ensure the continuity of energy supply in an international scenario marked by the volatility of the oil market.

Strategic Importance of the Druzhba Pipeline

The Druzhba pipeline is one of the main arteries for oil transport from Russia to Europe. Its operability is key for countries like Slovakia, whose energy infrastructure largely depends on this system to cover domestic crude demand.

In this context, the resumption of flow reinforces the temporary stability of supply, although the geopolitical environment remains a determining factor for energy security in the region.
