The integration of the Southeast Asian consultancy will expand Longitude’s capabilities in process safety and technical risk management for energy sector projects.
Aqualis ASA announced the completion of the acquisition of 100% of the shares of SynergenOG, a consultancy specialized in process safety and technical risk management with a presence in Southeast Asia. The operation strengthens the group’s technical capacity and expands its service portfolio for the energy, oil and gas, and renewable energy industries.
The company indicated that the transaction, previously announced in May 2026, has now been completed. With this move, Aqualis incorporates specialized knowledge that will support the development of industrial projects with a greater focus on operational safety and risk management throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
SynergenOG to be integrated into Longitude
As part of the process, SynergenOG will become part of Longitude, Aqualis’ design and engineering division. The integration will reinforce engineering services across all of the company’s business lines.
Furthermore, the incorporation of SynergenOG specialists will contribute to creating a technical center of excellence dedicated to process safety and technical risk management. The objective is to offer solutions that improve operational safety, optimize costs, and increase project performance from the conceptual design phases through to operations and the final end-of-life stage of the facilities.
Greater capacity to serve the energy industry
The acquisition is part of Aqualis’ growth strategy to expand its technical capabilities through the incorporation of specialized companies. SynergenOG’s expertise will strengthen support for operators and developers requiring engineering services with a comprehensive focus on safety, reliability, and asset performance.
The group provides services to oil and gas related projects, renewable energy and the maritime sector, markets where risk management and process safety play a decisive role in operational continuity and compliance with industry standards.
