Weatherford International plc announced the award of an integrated well completion contract in deepwater by Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Ltd. (EEPNL), an ExxonMobil affiliate, for offshore operations in Nigeria.
The contract is part of the company’s well construction and completion services portfolio and includes the provision of integrated upper and lower completion solutions for offshore wells.
Weatherford to provide well integrity technologies
The company explained that the project scope will focus on ensuring operational safety, reliability, and well integrity throughout the lifecycle of offshore operations.
The integrated completion system will be configured through the global supply chain and will include local support in Nigeria to meet the execution and local content requirements set out in the contract.
Girish Saligram, President and CEO of Weatherford, stated that the contract reflects the company’s ability to develop advanced solutions in complex offshore environments.
“We will provide technologies designed to ensure well integrity, reliability, and efficient execution in complex offshore environments,” Saligram noted.
