Powerus he obtained a contract of approximately $22.3 million to deploy an anti-drone defense system intended to protect oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East.

According to information released by the company, the system will allow detect, track and classify drone threats around the protected facilities. The collected data will be sent to a control center located on the client’s premises to provide operators with a comprehensive view of air traffic. The US company did not identify the client or specify the locations where the technology will be installed.

Furthermore, the contract includes the supply of hardware and software, along with the commissioning of the equipment at each site. The agreement covers the installation of the system and a period of 24 months of maintenance and technical support.

In this way, Powerus proposes a connected protection architecture capable of gathering information from different components and transmitting it to operators from a central point. The goal is to strengthen the surveillance of energy assets against aerial threats.

Powerus also designed the platform to allow for the future incorporation of Guardian, an interceptor drone designed to expand the system’s functions beyond detection.

The integration would allow the network to evolve from one focused on identifying and tracking aircraft to a solution with the added capability of responding to specific threats. This expansion will depend on the future development and deployment of the interceptor.

Meanwhile, Powerus continues its merger process with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc., the companies expect to complete the transaction in early October 2026, provided that the remaining closing conditions are met.
