The Nordex Group announced the acquisition of three new orders in the United States with a total capacity of 484 MW, reinforcing its commercial activity in one of the most important markets for the development of onshore wind energy.
The contracts cover the supply of 88 wind turbines for various wind energy projects, the identities of which have not been disclosed by the company. The award reflects customer confidence in Nordex’s technological solutions and its ability to execute large-scale renewable energy projects in North America.
Three contracts boost Nordex’s project portfolio
One of the orders includes the installation of 32 N133/4.8 turbines with a combined capacity of approximately 154 MW. The other two contracts involve the delivery of 56 N163/5.X wind turbines, which will add approximately 330 MW of wind power capacity.
Although the company did not disclose details about the developers or the location of the projects, the magnitude of the orders confirms the continued investment in renewable energy generation within the US market.
Technology and execution capacity as crucial factors
Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, highlighted that these agreements represent a demonstration of the confidence that customers maintain in the company’s technology and its ability to meet development timelines.
According to the executive, the combination of a widely proven turbine technology and a supply chain with a local presence allows Nordex to support the execution of large-scale wind projects throughout the region.
Likewise, the company continues to strengthen its image within the North American market through a strategy focused on operational efficiency, equipment availability, and long-term support services.
A market with opportunities for wind energy
Securing new contracts comes at a time when electricity demand continues to grow in the United States, driven by industrial expansion, digitalization, and the construction of data centers.
Faced with this scenario, energy developers remain interested in expanding available renewable capacity, especially through onshore wind projects capable of supplying electricity on a large scale.
Nordex’s portfolio is focused on turbines between 4 and 7 MW+, designed to operate in markets with space limitations or restrictions on the capacity of electrical grids.
More than four decades promoting wind power generation
Since 1985, the Nordex Group has installed more than 64 GW of wind power capacity in over 40 international markets. In 2025, the company recorded consolidated sales of nearly €7.6 billion and maintained a workforce of over 11,100 employees.
Currently, the company has manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India and the United States, in addition to a global service network designed to guarantee the operational performance of its wind turbines throughout their useful life.
The new orders obtained in the United States strengthen Nordex’s image within the international wind sector and reflect the continued dynamism of the renewable generation market in North America.
