The multinational Syensqo has announced an investment to build a new high-performance aromatic polymer formulation line in Panoli, India. In addition, the commissioning of this modular infrastructure is scheduled for the first quarter of 2028 and will double the complex’s current processing capacity.

As a result, the new production center will process a wide range of specialty materials, including Ryton polyphenylene sulfide, KetaSpire polyetheretherketone, Amodel polyphthalamide, and Ixef polyarylamide.

In this way, the facilities’ operational versatility will enable efficient adjustments to manufacturing volumes as market needs shift. Likewise, these polymers are critical for demanding applications requiring high-temperature resistance, chemical stability, and reduced structural weight.

In parallel, this project strengthens the company’s local presence and advances the government’s “Make in India” initiative through regional integration of its supply chains.

For his part, Tom Wood, Syensqo’s Vice President of Product and Asset Management, emphasized that bringing production capacity closer to customers optimizes logistics responsiveness and broadens the aromatic portfolio options. Ultimately, this move reinforces the company’s commitment to research, technological development, and advanced manufacturing in the international market.
