Island Evolution hybrid vessel arrives in Norway for final construction

The Island Evolution begins its final outfitting phase in Norway before joining underwater operations for ocean energy.

The first hybrid vessel construction for Ocean Energy (OECV) developed by VARD the Island Offshore vessel is already in Norway, where it will begin the final outfitting phase before delivery Island Evolution it represents a new advance within the fleet modernization program intended for underwater operations for the offshore sector.

Designed for complex underwater operations

Among its capabilities are inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) operations, pipeline laying, underwater infrastructure installation, support for diving operations and the deployment of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

They will also incorporate a 250-ton underwater crane equipped with a wave compensation system and dynamic positioning. DP2 and accommodation for up to 120 people, features that will allow offshore projects to be executed with high operational standards.
