EthosEnergy Turbines in Poland, they become part of Acwa Field Services following an acquisition that establishes the company’s first maintenance presence within the European Union.
The transaction incorporates into the Acwa subsidiary a team of 85 employees along with specialized assets, intellectual property, existing contracts and a portfolio of services already contracted; the business will operate under the name Acwa Field Services Poland.
With this purchase, the company adds an operation that already has technical experience and commercial relationships within the European market, the acquisition also represents the first move in a strategy aimed at expanding its field services internationally.
EthosEnergy turbines reinforce Acwa’s services
In addition, the operation strengthens Acwa Field Services’ capabilities in steam turbine services; the company incorporates engineering resources, specialized equipment, and professionals with experience in maintenance and technical support.
This capability will allow Acwa to have more of its own resources to service the assets it operates. Matthew York, president of Acwa Operations, explained that having direct access to specialized maintenance capabilities offers greater control over the performance, costs and reliability of the fleet.
Furthermore, the Wrocław operation provides a base from which Acwa Field Services can serve one-off projects and long-term contracts in Europe.
The company hopes to use this presence to expand its activity within the industry of electricity generation and provide services to independent power producers, public companies and clients related to the oil and gas sector.

For its part, EthosEnergy frames the sale within its corporate restructuring process, its CEO, Ana Amicarella he indicated that the transaction helps simplify the company’s portfolio and concentrate resources on its core operations.
Breslau’s steam turbine business will continue to serve customers linked to power generation, industrial manufacturing and oil and gas, now as part of Acwa.
For Acwa Field Services, the acquisition offers a direct entry into the European market without starting from scratch; the company receives specialized personnel, technical infrastructure, intellectual property, and an active portfolio of contracts.
Furthermore, the new operation will be integrated into the global Acwa group, the company currently has a portfolio of 111 assets distributed in 16 countries and manages assets valued at 468.9 billion Saudi riyals, equivalent to about 125 billion dollars.
In this way, Poland becomes the platform initial to expand Acwa Field Services’ maintenance and technical support services in Europe with special attention to steam turbines and equipment related to power generation.
