Houston, Texas – (August 19, 2026, AMPP)—Infrastructure owners around the world face many of the same challenges: extending asset life, improving reliability, adopting new technologies, and preparing the next generation of professionals. While those challenges may look different from one industry or region to another, the value of sharing practical experience remains constant.
That is the focus of a new four-part ambassador podcast series from the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), as part of the organization’s Fifth Anniversary “Then and Now” podcast series. The episodes feature members of the 2026 AMPP Ambassador Class discussing corrosion prevention, protective coatings, asset integrity, and trends influencing the future of the profession.
Hosted by Ben DuBose, AMPP News Editor, the series brings together ambassadors from industry, academia, and consulting across several countries to share lessons learned, discuss emerging challenges, and explore how collaboration helps move the profession forward.
“One of the greatest strengths of the AMPP community is the diversity of experience our members bring from around the world. Every guest brings a different perspective based on where they work and the challenges they face. Those conversations help all of us better understand what’s working, where the profession is headed, and how we can continue learning from one another.”
DuBose said.
Each episode examines a different aspect of the profession:
- Episode 1 – From Field to Framework: How Corrosion Knowledge Becomes Global Standards
Washington Nyoni, Corrosion Control Engineering (Australia); George Joseph, Saudi Aramco; and Dr. Raghu Srinivasan, University of Alaska Anchorage (United States), discuss how decades of research, field experience, and international collaboration have evolved into the standards guiding the industry. - Episode 2 – Asset Integrity Under Pressure: Pipelines, Risk, and Real-World Decision Making
