The agreements between Petrobras and PRIO

This agreement will allow PRIO to access the Integrated Natural Gas Collection System ( SIE-BC ) and the Cabiúnas Gas Treatment Unit ( UTGCAB ), which will allow it to process natural gas from the Frade and Albacora Leste fields, located in the strategic Bacia de Campos.

This collaboration is part of Petrobras ‘ efforts to comply with the provisions of the Gas Law , which seeks to strengthen a competitive and diverse energy market. According to Mauricio Tolmasquim, director of Energy Transition and Sustainability at Petrobras, this type of agreement contributes to the development of a more accessible natural gas market for multiple industry players.

Under this agreement, PRIO will be able to use the pipeline infrastructure and treatment stations belonging to Petrobras , which will allow it to optimize the distribution of gas from its Frade ( 100% stake ) and Albacora Leste ( 90% stake ) fields. In addition to PRIO, Petrobras has signed similar agreements with nine other producers in different Brazilian basins, consolidating its role as a facilitator in the natural gas sector.
