Vibe Energy has launched the Nhill Renewable Energy Facility in collaboration with GWMWater, achieving a new breakthrough in solar power and storage. This project includes 6.5 MW of solar PV generation and a 2.75 MW battery system, which is already connected to the local electricity grid.
Solar project key to achieving zero emissions
With this development, GWMWater will be able to offset 70% of its electricity consumption in 330 facilities , moving closer to its goal of operating with 100% renewable energy by 2025 and achieving net zero emissions by 2035.
According to representatives of Vibe Energy , the energization of the high voltage asset marks the beginning of the commissioning phase of the plant, consolidating its role in the transition towards more sustainable energy sources.
The project optimizes energy supply, reduces dependence on fossil fuels and minimizes the carbon footprint in the region. In addition, the plant is expected to generate economic benefits and employment in the area.
The company thanked GWMWater, Next Generation Electrical and RJE Global Pty Ltd for their collaboration, highlighting the importance of technological innovation in the evolution of the energy sector.
