Technosylva will launch Intel Briefs to provide regular analyses on forest fires, meteorology, drought and fire behavior.
Technosylva will launch a series of information sessions aimed at assessing the conditions that may influence the development o f forest fires over the next few weeks. The initiative will bring together fire scientists, meteorologists, and company risk analysts.
Named Intel Briefs the service will be aimed at customers of electric companies and fire service organizations, with the objective of providing technical information on current conditions and weather forecasts that may modify the level of risk.
The first session is scheduled for August 11 and will last 30 minutes; Technosylva customers belonging to utility companies and fire agencies have received invitations to participate.
Technosylva applies fire science to forest fires
During each session, the specialists will review different variables related to the risk of forest fires these will include the expected weather conditions, drought levels, and the moisture present in plant fuels.
In addition, experts will study the potential behavior of the fire; this information can help to understand how certain environmental conditions could favor the spread of a fire and complicate response operations.
The reports will also incorporate reviews of recent weather events and fires deemed relevant. This will allow specialists to correlate observed conditions with patterns recorded during previous events.
In addition, the sessions will be geared towards the coming weeks; this timeframe will allow combining current observations with weather forecasts and assessments of fuel conditions.
Risk analysis and meteorology
