SLB OneSubsea, a joint venture formed by SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea7, completed the acquisition of the subsea business of Envirex Group AS, an operation that expands its technology portfolio for offshore projects and strengthens its position in advanced subsea solutions.
The transaction incorporates Envirex’s specialized technologies, focusing on wireless systems and umbilical cable-free solutions. With this, the company seeks to simplify underwater operations to improve project flexibility and offer more consistent global support to its clients.
SLB OneSubsea strengthens its subsea portfolio
The acquisition allows the company to accelerate the deployment of next-generation technologies for subsea production. These types of solutions are key in offshore fields where reducing physical infrastructure can improve costs, installation times, and maintenance.
For his part, Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea, highlighted that the integration of Envirex expands the company’s ability to respond to the growing demand for advanced subsea solutions.

Meanwhile, Envirex brings expertise in specialized underwater technologies from Norway, one of the most relevant centers for the offshore development. Its integration will strengthen OneSubsea’s offering in control systems, underwater connectivity, and umbilical-free solutions.
This will allow customers to access a broader portfolio, with support throughout the product lifecycle. The transaction also enhances OneSubsea’s global delivery capabilities, backed by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7.
