During this technical pause period, it is essential to observe preventive protocols. The company will rigorously apply the safety sequences established for this type of industrial process.

Neighbors in neighboring areas may notice occasional increases in the flame of the flare. This phenomenon is a direct and controlled consequence of the gas decompression necessary to guarantee the integrity of the installations.

Transparency has marked this technical maneuver since its initial planning. The plant management has formally notified the Vice-Ministry of the Environment of the Basque Government and the Territorial Delegate of Industry of Bizkaia of these tasks.

Likewise, the security forces such as the Ertzaintza and the emergency services of SOS Deiak have all the technical documentation on the stoppage. The town councils of Abanto-Zierbena, Muskiz and Zierbena have been informed in order to reassure the public.
