The company KOIL Energy Solutions formalized the award of a major contract for the management, spooling, and storage of subsea services. To carry out these tasks, the organization will bring two mass-storage infrastructures into operation. In this way, the firm will integrate a newly acquired mobile marine unit and reactivate a complementary piece of equipment that had remained idle in its current inventory.

Technical capabilities and subsea services

Accordingly, engineering and logistics activities will formally begin during the second half of 2026. Subsequently, the agreement provides that the corporation will assume the long-term safekeeping of the client’s components at its facilities.

Regarding technical assets, the new modular carousel has a nominal capacity of 3,500 metric tons. In addition, this equipment was specifically designed for rapid assembly directly on the deck of support vessels. This technical feature enables swift mobilization and efficient relocation to different projects in U.S. waters or in international territories.

In this regard, the financing for the acquisition of this specialized machinery came from a credit facility that the corporation successfully arranged last month. This financial instrument directly supports the corporate strategy of expanding its global rental portfolio. Likewise, the capital obtained strengthens rapid-response capabilities to meet demand in the offshore energy sector.

Furthermore, the organization’s executive management highlighted the significance of this commercial milestone. Erik Wiik, President and Chief Executive Officer of KOIL Energy, stated that the award validates the operational plan to diversify into the business of leasing specialized equipment. The executive emphasized how quickly the firm secured the first commercial contract for this fixed asset before its offshore deployment.
