The integration of Honeywell digital technologies at the Dangote refinery makes it possible to turn the oil facility into a hub of efficiency through the use of advanced monitoring and next-generation connected services.
Enhancing the Dangote refinery
Starting with the technical details, the implementation of Honeywell Performance+ Services will enable comprehensive control over the main processing units. The goal is to extract maximum value from every drop of feedstock to produce high-quality Euro-V fuels. Through the Honeywell Forge platform, plant management will have access to accurate diagnostics that detect inefficiencies before they affect profitability.
Likewise, the focus on human capital is fundamental to Aliko Dangote’s vision. The delivery of operator training simulators, known as OTS, ensures that more than 3,000 Nigerian workers are trained in virtual environments that accurately replicate the real facilities.
On the other hand, the growth projection is ambitious, as there are plans to increase capacity from the current 650,000 barrels to 1.4 million barrels per day over the next three years. This increase ensures Nigeria’s domestic supply, strengthens the company’s position as a dominant exporter in the international polypropylene market and petroleum products.
Finally, regarding strategic relevance, Honeywell UOP contributes more than a century of technical expertise to ensure that the infrastructure operates with superior agility. The integration of these digital tools represents a firm step toward regional energy sovereignty and excellence in the manufacture of crude-oil derivatives.
