In line with its operational strategy in the North Sea, Equinor has decided to extend its framework contract with the Norwegian company Soiltech for offshore waste management services until May 31, 2028.
This agreement strengthens the relationship between both companies in the field of offshore operations, where Soiltech will continue to provide its full portfolio of technologies geared towards the treatment, recycling and sustainable management of waste.
A contract focused on efficiency and sustainability
According to the contract details, Soiltech will continue to deploy solutions designed to improve operational efficiency and optimize the reduction, recovery, and reuse of waste generated during oil and gas activities.
This approach responds to the growing pressure from the energy sector to adopt more sustainable practices in offshore environments, where waste management represents a significant technical and environmental challenge.
Likewise, the extension includes the continuity of services both in marine facilities and in land support, integrating technological capabilities that allow the on-site treatment of liquids and solid waste.
Future options and continuity of the agreement
Following this extension, the company maintains three additional options to extend the contract, each lasting two years, which opens the door to a long-term collaboration between the two companies.
This type of framework agreement is common in the offshore sector, as it allows for ensuring the continuity of critical services without the need for recurring bidding processes.
Recognition of operational performance
Soiltech CEO Jan Erik Tveteraas emphasized the strategic value of this decision by Equinor, the contract extension is a recognition of the performance of our teams, both offshore and onshore, he stated, underscoring the company’s ambition to remain at the forefront of technology within the industry.
Soiltech strengthens its presence in the offshore market
Based in Norway and operating globally, Soiltech specializes in technological solutions for the treatment and recycling of waste directly at the point of operation.
The continuation of this contract reinforces its image as a crucial provider of environmental services for the oil and gas industry, especially in offshore environments where efficiency and regulatory compliance are critical factors.
