Venture Global has reached a significant milestone with the start of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production at its Plaquemines LNG plant in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. This project, which is part of its expansion into the US energy industry , is key to consolidating the country as the leading LNG exporter worldwide.

The Plaquemines LNG facility, which has a nameplate capacity of 20 MTPA, achieved LNG production just 30 months after its Final Investment Decision (FID), positioning it as one of the fastest-growing projects of its kind. Together with Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility, Plaquemines LNG is distinguished by its innovative approach to the construction and commissioning of energy facilities .
