At the ASNT 2024 Conference , Nikon reaffirmed its position as a leader in the non-destructive testing (NDT) sector through an interview with Brian Barlow, National Business Development Manager for Inspection Services at Nikon Metrology.
During the conversation, Barlow detailed the innovations and solutions the company offers in the field of metrology, with a particular focus on X-ray and computed tomography (CT) technology .
Nikon offers global solutions in X-ray and CT
Barlow noted that Nikon has been a regular participant at ASNT over the years, underlining the importance of this conference for showcasing its technological advances and strengthening relationships with other companies in the sector. At its booth, the company displayed its industrial X-ray and CT machines, crucial tools for the internal inspection of manufactured parts for porosity, defects and cracks, thus ensuring the safety and quality of products before their use in production processes.
In addition to X-ray and CT technology , Nikon also offers advanced solutions such as laser radar and microscopy, strengthening its ability to address a wide range of needs in the global NDT sector. According to Barlow, Nikon has inspection laboratories in the United States, located in Minnesota, Texas, Michigan and California, allowing them to provide inspection services for companies that do not have the resources to purchase their own machines.
