The Greenvolt energy group has formalized the sale of the Pelplin wind farm in north-central Poland to Enea Nowa Energia, a subsidiary of the Enea Group, for 174.4 million euros. This transaction reaffirms the Portuguese group’s strategy of monetizing energy assets once they reach the commercial operation phase.
A consolidated and operational project
The facility, consisting of 16 Siemens Gamesa SG145 turbines of 5.2 MW each, has a total installed capacity of 83.2 megawatts. The project was developed by Greenvolt Power and was completed in December 2024, after starting construction in June 2023. The wind farm is currently fully operational and has all the relevant permits.
João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt, underlined that the sale is in line with its focus on releasing capital in Ready to Build (RtB) or already operational (COD) projects, allowing reinvestment in new developments with high potential.
