Vestas has confirmed the award of a 50 MW order in Germany, reinforcing its presence in the European wind energy market with a new project whose client has not been revealed.

A contract with V172 technology and long-term service

Specifically, the agreement includes the supply of seven V172-7.2 MW wind turbines, one of the Danish manufacturer’s latest platforms designed to maximize efficiency in onshore wind farms.

Likewise, the contract includes a 20-year Active Output Management (AOM 4000) maintenance program, which guarantees the optimization of equipment performance and availability throughout the operating cycle.

Delivery and commissioning schedule

On the other hand, the project timeline is already defined; the company plans to begin turbine delivery in the second quarter of 2027, while commissioning will begin in the fourth quarter of the same year.

This type of planning is common in medium-scale wind projects, where logistics and grid integration require well-structured phases.

Vestas strengthens its image in Europe

With this new order, Vestas continues to solidify its leadership in the global wind energy sector. The company has accumulated more than 201 GW installed in 88 countries, relying on advanced data analysis capabilities to optimize energy generation.

Furthermore, its portfolio of more than 161 GW in service allows the company to offer comprehensive solutions ranging from the design to the operation and maintenance of wind farms. In this context, Germany remains a strategic market for the development of renewable energy, driven by energy transition policies and a growing demand for sustainable generation.
