The company VAALCO Energy has achieved favorable operational results that strengthen its profitability for the current fiscal year, especially following the data obtained in its recent drilling campaigns in West Africa.

Performance of the Etame 14H well in the Etame field

The initial production of approximately 4,850 gross barrels of oil per day is a figure that provides 2,850 net barrels directly to the operator, following the success of the Etame 14H well.

The drilling penetrated 325 meters of net pay in high-quality Gamba sands and showed porosity exceeding the most conservative technical projections. Likewise, the well’s location in an attic position within the Main Fault Block has been decisive in optimizing hydrocarbon extraction.

After completing work at Etame, the drilling rig has moved to the Ebouri location. At this new site, activities are focused on the EEBOM-5H development well.

The work plan includes sidetracking a previously abandoned structure to reach zones of higher pressure and greater accumulated potential. This organic investment approach demonstrates efficient management of existing resources to maximize asset value in Gabon.

Finally, the FPSO Baobab Ivorien vessel has returned to Côte d’Ivoire after a comprehensive refurbishment in Dubai. The unit is moored in the CI-40 block, and teams have begun reconnecting the umbilicals.

The operational schedule suggests that full field reactivation will occur before the end of the second quarter of 2026. This infrastructure is vital to the company’s growth targets, as it maintains a comprehensive focus on technical execution and meeting deadlines.
