SPH Engineering announced the launch of its new drone services Marketplace, a platform designed to connect industrial companies, research institutions, and engineers with verified service providers and specialized equipment for UAV operations.
The network starts with more than 30 partners in over 38 countries, covering Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
Its goal is to facilitate access to advanced data collection technologies without organizations having to immediately invest in hardware, pilot training, or internal equipment maintenance.
Industrial Drones for Complex Projects
The platform is oriented toward sectors such as oil and gas, mining, construction, hydrology, and academia, where the use of drones for surveys, inspections, and specialized mapping has become increasingly relevant.
Through the Marketplace, a university can request water depth mapping for environmental studies, while an energy company can access airborne ground-penetrating radar solutions for underground utility mapping.
The system allows users to submit a project request through the SPH Engineering platform, which then directs the inquiry to the most suitable partners based on region, application type, and technical availability.
Access to LiDAR, GPR, and Echosounder Sensors
In addition to connecting end users with service providers, the Marketplace also functions as a rental network for engineers who already have UAV capabilities but need specific sensors for one-off projects.
Available equipment includes drone-mounted LiDAR systems, ground-penetrating radars, magnetometers, and echosounders.
This model allows for the validation of workflows or testing the capability of specialized sensors before making a major investment.
SPH Engineering indicated that network partners are evaluated based on their technical capabilities, equipment availability, experience in relevant projects, and ability to handle inquiries from industrial clients.
A Global Network for Specialized Operators
The platform also offers an additional channel for drone service companies and hardware providers. By joining the network, these partners gain visibility among clients in industrial and environmental sectors who require specialized geophysical, hydrographic, and topographic data.
According to Alexey Dobrovolskiy, CEO of SPH Engineering, the initiative addresses a specific industry problem: project managers and researchers often know what data they need, but finding a reliable local team with the right payload can delay work for weeks.
The executive explained that the platform seeks to create a trusted environment where demand meets technical capacity without the need for a large initial investment.
Advanced Data Collection with Drones
Alexey Smirnov added that the Marketplace reflects SPH Engineering’s mission to simplify access to advanced drone data collection capabilities.
The company aims to enable organizations to efficiently execute complex geophysical and hydrographic operations in various environments.
SPH Engineering develops solutions for drone surveying, inspection, and mapping, integrating flight software, advanced sensors, data processing, and management systems into unified engineering ecosystems.
Among its core technologies is UgCS, used for complex automated flights and precision LiDAR data collection, along with specialized payloads such as GPR, magnetometers, and echosounders.
