Within the framework of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, NatPower Marine formalized the signing of a strategic agreement aimed at integrating the Aqua superPower platform into its global operations structure. This transaction consolidates the international network of marine electric vehicle charging with the infrastructure execution model of the acquiring company, establishing a unified ecosystem to accelerate the energy transition in ports and marinas on a global scale.

Fabrizio Zago, CEO of NatPower, stated during the presentation at the Yacht Club de Monaco that the integration of Aqua superPower represents a direct path to expand the corporation’s presence in recreational port facilities in a coordinated manner. The executive specified that the deployment of shore power supply solutions constitutes a critical initial phase. Likewise, he argued that this positioning will facilitate the subsequent introduction of green hydrogen-based technologies to serve larger vessels.

Aqua superPower’s track record is supported by a network of more than 80 fast-charging points distributed across key locations in Europe and the United States. Stewart Wilkinson, CEO of the parent company ATV Power, explained that the development of this network has been consolidated over a six-year period. The Yacht Club de Monaco stood out as the world’s pioneering facility by implementing the company’s first fast charger in 2019, demonstrating the viability of AC and DC charging technology in highly demanding maritime environments.

The technical collaboration will seek to extend the reach of the infrastructure into the commercial sector, prioritizing the installation of high-power connectors in ports in Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, and China. NatPower Marine will contribute its financial and logistical capacity for the deployment of onshore charging stations, while Aqua superPower will retain the technical management of the fast-connection systems for electric work and transport vessels.

This operational synergy, reinforced by the active participation of both entities in the technological development of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge through the supply of hydrogen and floating fast-charging platforms, sets a tangible precedent for industrial cooperation to reduce pollutant emissions in the maritime domain.
