Hami Tonghuide Green Casting has signed a contract with Guofu Mingzhi, a subsidiary of Guofu Hydrogen Energy, to purchase a set of 22 hydrogen electrolyzers with a capacity of 1,000 m3/h and key auxiliary systems, worth more than 150 million yuan.
Integration of alkaline electrolysis in metallurgy
At the core of the project is the water electrolysis technology to produce clean hydrogen, which will be used in a new precision smelting plant in Hami, Xinjiang. The facility will have a capacity of 200,000 tons per year to produce high-purity iron by direct reduction with hydrogen, a key method in the transition to carbon-free metallurgy.
