The scope of the MK II FLNG floating platform and Hilli
Regarding the MK II FLNG floating platform, the contracted activities include the execution of construction and maintenance services. Additionally, the technical team will develop a detailed asset hierarchy along with a comprehensive register, complemented by exhaustive inspection programs aimed at cementing long-term structural integrity.
This unit, scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027, has a projected liquefaction capacity of 3.5 million tons per year after its conversion from the Fuji LNG carrier.
On the other hand, the intervention on the Hilli FLNG unit will focus on the revalidation of plant integrity. Specific tasks include updating risk-based inspection, structural re-evaluation, and consolidating the data baseline. This asset stands out as one of the world’s first converted floating terminals, having operated continuously since 2018.
Consequently, the implementation of these projects will be firmly supported by Axess Group’s global portfolio of advanced digital solutions. End-to-end asset integrity management will optimize operational workflows across both Golar LNG floating structures.
Likewise, this award provides a key operational base for the growth of corporate activities in the South American market. The executive management has stated that the contracts ratify the reliability of their technical model in the demanding liquefied natural gas sector.
