The Cordoba town of General Levalle now boasts one of the most powerful wind farms in the country. YPF Luz celebrated the launch of this facility, which incorporates 25 6.2-megawatt wind turbines, the largest currently operating in Argentina.
General Levalle Wind Farm Details
Located south of Córdoba, the wind farm has an installed capacity of 155 MW. This figure generates enough energy to supply more than 190,000 homes or cover a significant portion of the region’s industrial consumption.
The project involved an investment of more than $250 million, reaffirming the company’s commitment to federal energy development.
National, provincial, and municipal authorities participated in the inauguration ceremony. YPF Luz CEO Martín Mandarano, Governor Martín Llaryora, and Mayor Laura Rodríguez Paredes were also present. During the event, the positive impact this project will have on the province’s productive ecosystem was highlighted.
With this addition, YPF Luz expands operations in eight Argentine provinces, consolidating its position as a key player in the energy transition. The General Levalle park represents an important step in its diversification strategy, aimed at strengthening sustainable supply for industrial sectors and communities.
