Normandie Hydroliennes has been selected by the European Union’s Innovation Fund and will receive €31.3 million in funding for its NH1 hydroelectric project . This support will accelerate the development and implementation of its tidal power generation system, a major advance in tidal energy in France.
The NH1 hydroelectric project
The NH1 project will be developed in the Normandy region and will deploy AR3000 horizontal-axis turbine technology, producing 34 GWh annually. The installation marks the start of one of the first commercial tidal energy parks in France.
