The Corporate Knights consultancy, released the list of the 100 most sustainable companies in the world, where the French company Schneider Electric, a leading organization in the digital transformation of efficient energy management and automation, obtained a place on the list for twelfth consecutive time.
Corporate Knights ranked Schneider Electric first in its category and No. 7 in the 2023 global rankings.
This recognition was achieved as part of the management and results of the organization regarding actions and initiatives related to climate and social commitment, sustainable investments, gender diversity and the salary link with sustainability. These are elements that have contributed to ensuring Schneider Electric’s leadership position in the index prepared annually by the Corporate Knights research and sustainability group.
Schneider Electric achieved the best ratings for the implementation of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) concepts, which were granted by Standard & Poor’s, CDP and Moody’s ESG Solutions, thanks to the impact of actions and impact in terms of sustainability . For example, the organization’s Climate Strategy and its commitment to environmental transparency was one of the first to be validated against SBTi’s Corporate Net-Zero Standard in mid-2022.
The company is also distinguished by being one of the 19 organizations that have been awarded the Terra Carta Seal, a distinction that recognizes all these companies that are driving innovation. An element that confirms its commitment to move towards automatically sustainable market dynamics. The Seal is part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative that His Majesty King Carlos III created in January 2021, and whose purpose is to encourage the private sector to take action against climate change.
