The Cordillerilla photovoltaic installation , part of Neoelectra’s portfolio since mid-2024, has marked an achievement with its highest annual production since 2019, reaching 2,107 MWh . This progress positions the installation as a key pillar in the company’s sustainability strategy.
Cordillerilla, strategically located for solar generation , has tripled its production in just six months after the integration with Neoelectra, going from 97 MWh to 295 MWh. Currently, the plant operates with a capacity of 1.4 MWp thanks to high-efficiency bifacial modules and an automated structure that optimizes electrical generation. This development has contributed to a 10% increase in installed solar capacity in Chile.
a key photovoltaic installation in Chile’s decarbonisation
Looking to the future, Neoelectra plans to expand the photovoltaic park and equip it with an energy storage system using batteries. These initiatives could double its power, further consolidating its impact on the energy transition.
During 2024, Cordillerilla’s operations avoided the emission of more than 500 tons of CO₂. This achievement reinforces the group’s commitment to sustainability and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions in Chile.
Marcos Pérez, country manager of Neoelectra, mentioned that Cordillerilla exemplifies how investments generate a positive impact, not only in economic results, but also in the sustainable future of the region. With this vision, Neoelectra continues to lead the change towards a low-carbon economy, investing in renewable energy in Chile and Latin America.
