Located off the coast of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, this plant uses floats that move with the movement of the waves, generating energy through a hydraulic system that connects directly to the Israeli electrical grid.
Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Israel National Electric Company (IEC) have supported this project that seeks to improve the country’s energy security and reduce dependence on non-renewable sources.
Commitment to the future of renewable energy
Israel’s Energy Minister Eli Cohen expressed his pride in the achievement, noting that this energy project in the Middle East reinforces Israel’s commitment to technological innovation and reducing pollution.
We are moving towards a greener and safer future by supporting initiatives that promote clean energy as part of our national energy strategy.
Cohen said.
This project is not only a triumph for Israel, but also an example of how technology can overcome borders. Eco Wave Power , listed on the Nasdaq under the symbol WAVE, plans to expand globally, with upcoming projects in Los Angeles, Taiwan and Portugal.
In addition, the company has managed to capture the attention of international investors and governments, confirming the potential of wave energy as a key source to combat the global climate crisis.
