Kristin Leonard, notable for her previous participation in the AMMP conference, represented the company at this crucial event for the energy industry.
During the interview with our team, Leonard emphasized the importance of ILTA 2024 Conference as one of the most significant events for Sherwin-Williams, given its strong market relationship in the tank terminal and pipeline sector. “We have a very strong market relationship for our group of tank terminals and pipelines“Leonard explained.
Innovation in coatings for the biofuel industry
This year, the company has focused on highlighting its innovations in internal tank and pipe linings , especially designed for the biofuels segment. Michael Harrison, Sherwin-Williams expert in internal coatings, led a presentation on the company’s two years of extensive testing. These have focused on specialized products that meet the specific needs of biofuels, differentiating them from traditional fuels in the oil and gas industry.
” We have been conducting extensive testing for two years on a set of our internal lining products for the biofuels segment ,” Leonard explained. The company seeks to ensure that it is the leading service provider in this emerging sector, not only in the United States, but also globally.
The conversation also touched on the growing importance of sustainable aviation fuels in North America, a sector that Sherwin-Williams considers vital. ” Over time, this will be an important segment globally ,” Leonard said.
