The GPA Midstream Convention is an annual event that focuses on the midstream industry and brings together more than 1,500 professionals from around the world. This meeting provides the opportunity for these professionals to meet, share knowledge and learn about issues affecting the industry.
This event, which began last September 17 and ends tomorrow in San Antonio, Texas, attracts participants of various professional levels, from engineers in their early careers to technical experts and senior managers. Attendees represent both operating companies and industry suppliers.
It should be noted that a significant number of the participants in the GPA Midstream Convention are individuals with decision-making roles in their respective companies and close to 20% of them hold executive titles, such as CEO, COO, president, director, senior vice president and vice president. . In addition, it is important to highlight that a considerable percentage of executive-level assistants have a background and degree in engineering and more than 30% have management-level titles.
Likewise, more than 20% of the participants have degrees related to engineering, such as applications engineer, automation engineer, consulting engineer, controls engineer, environmental engineer, facilities engineer, field engineer, gas processing engineer, mechanical engineer, operations engineer, plant engineer, process engineer and project engineer.
Presentation topics are chosen through an article request process and all articles submitted for evaluation are reviewed by a Program Committee.
This committee, made up of appointed members representing more than 40 companies in the midstream sector, of all sizes, ensures that topics are relevant to both large and smaller companies. This process brings together leading experts in the field, many of whom are recognized and respected figures in the industry, to share their knowledge and experiences with other attendees.
The GPA Midstream Convention attracts a large number of returning attendees year after year, as it offers up-to-date information on research and development, safe operations, environmental sustainability , legislative and regulatory affairs, as well as other key industry topics at each edition.
