Fleet Space Technologies has announced the implementation of its mining exploration technology, ExoSphere , in the Salares Norte project , located in northern Chile. This innovative technological plan seeks to optimize resources in mining.
Fleet Space’s ExoSphere Technology
This technology will enable the generation of 3D images of the subsurface in the Brecha Principal and Agua Amarga resource areas, providing new insights into the mineral system and its structural environment. In addition, Fleet Space’s solution will enable the identification of new exploration targets nearby, which will optimise Gold Fields’ mining activities in the region.

The collaboration between Fleet Space and Gold Fields is not new, as this technology was previously used in the St. Ives operations in Australia, with positive results. Now, with proven success, the implementation in Salares Norte ensures progress in the mineral exploration of the project.
Furthermore, ExoSphere’s technological capabilities support Gold Fields’ ESG (environmental, social and governance) objectives, as its approach reduces the environmental footprint by minimizing the need for invasive drilling and optimizing decision-making through the use of artificial intelligence and real-time multi-physics data.
To further strengthen exploration in Salares Norte, Fleet Space has also revealed that six potential partners have submitted letters of intent to collaborate on studies and future exploration with the ExoSphere system. These partners include Lita Ocean , DM Sea Logistics , OPL Services , Kanlian Ferry , RW Marine Services , and Tian San Shipping , who are all considering electrifying over 200 vessels in their respective fleets.
ExoSphere technology, having proven effective in Australia’s Macquarie Arc , is now conducting the world’s highest real-time seismic survey in Chile’s Maricunga Belt , reaffirming Fleet Space’s ability to operate in challenging conditions, while maintaining a sustainable approach.
