Airbus consolidates its presence in India

This modern complex consolidates the company’s presence in India and will house the company’s three main business areas : Commercial Aircraft, Helicopters and Defence & Space. The new centre will also serve as the hub for its operations in the region, providing close support to its customers throughout South Asia and strengthening the supply chain that generates more than 15,000 jobs in India.

The company has also focused this headquarters on the training and development of local talent, with the inclusion of a training center that houses four state-of-the-art flight simulators for the A320neo model, positioning itself as a key pillar in pilot training and aircraft maintenance.

The opening of this site is a crucial step in Airbus’ long-term vision for India, a strategic market that continues to show strong growth in aviation and defence.

said Rémi Maillard.

The European company has tripled its workforce in India over the past three years and plans to expand further with the opening of the 5,000-employee Airbus Campus in Bengaluru next year. This expansion underlines India’s role in the company’s global ecosystem, particularly in the manufacturing of components such as the doors for the A320 family.
