The multinational Vestas has secured a new order for the optimization of energy infrastructure in the Japanese market. The agreement includes the supply of technological solutions for the Hachiryu Wind Power Plant Modernization Project, an initiative that will add a total capacity of 29 MW to the country’s electrical system. The awarded company will collaborate directly with the client M Winds Hachiryu, a subsidiary that is part of Meidensha Corporation.
Modernization of the Hachiryu Wind Power Plant
The scope of the contract stipulates the delivery and installation of seven V136-4.2 MW wind turbines. The selected equipment allows for optimizing the utilization of local wind resources through advanced intelligent data capture systems.
Additionally, the manufacturer will assume comprehensive asset management through a technical service contract under the AOM5000 scheme for a period of 10 years, ensuring continuous operational efficiency.
Project planning indicates that the physical shipment of components will formally begin during the first quarter of 2028. The definitive commissioning of the renewable power plant will be completed within the same fiscal year.
Through this collaboration, the entities involved seek to strengthen the global energy transition by implementing cutting-edge technology, maximizing energy performance, and reducing operational costs in the sector.
