Enstor to expand its gas pipeline network with the acquisition of Black Bear

Enstor Pipeline Holdings has signed an agreement to acquire Black Bear Transmission, significantly strengthening its natural gas transmission network. natural gas in the southeastern United States. Major expansion for Enstor

The acquisition of Black Bear represents a key expansion for Enstor, which incorporates approximately 2740 additional kilometers of gas pipelines to its existing network. With this integration, the company will reach more than 2,990 kilometers of transmission infrastructure, reinforcing its capacity to connect to industrial centers, power generation plants and utilities.

Black Bear operates a regulated network connecting 16 trunk pipelines and strategic storage in seven southeastern states. With a total transportation capacity of 2.6 billion cubic feet per day, this infrastructure complements Enstor’s offering, which already owns six subway natural gas storage facilities.

Both companies share a solid base of contracts with investment-grade counterparties. This synergy will enable Enstor to optimize its business model, diversify its portfolio and consolidate its position as a key supplier in the region’s energy market.

Since 2019, infrastructure capital firm Basalt led the development of Black Bear with sustained growth, both organic and inorganic. The transaction marks the closing of a successful investment cycle and ushers in a new phase under the company’s leadership.
