The Atlanta FPSO , one of Yinson Production’s most advanced units, has reached first oil in the Atlanta field , located in the Santos Basin, Brazil. This achievement, which happened on December 31, 2024, marks the beginning of a 15-year contract with Brava Energia , consolidating the position of both companies in the energy sector.
Successful operation of the FPSO Atlanta
The delivery of the Atlanta FPSO is an example of Yinson Production’s innovative approach to developing sustainable technologies. This asset features a daily production capacity of 50,000 barrels of oil and storage of up to 1,200,000 barrels , as well as a carbon management system that minimizes emissions through closed flaring and tank inerting.
During project implementation, 9.8 million man-hours were achieved without incidents , demonstrating a strong commitment to operational safety. Scott Bendiksen, Project Manager at Yinson, highlighted the team’s collaborative work and resilience in overcoming challenges and ensuring a successful start.
Alliance with Brava Energia
Brava Energia, formerly Enauta Energia, is Yinson’s main partner in this initiative. Décio Oddone, Brava’s CEO, underlined the innovative nature of the project, being the first one developed entirely by an independent company in Brazilian deepwater . This contract also includes a five-year extension option, consolidating a collaboration that promises to transform the local energy sector.
