This system is manufactured from recycled plastic using local robots, which not only reduces production costs but also minimizes environmental impact. The simplicity of its design, with a single moving part, significantly reduces maintenance requirements and improves the reliability of the device.
Unlike other renewable energy sources such as wind or solar power, tidal energy is a tidal energy is highly predictable, allowing planning up to 100 years in advance. The 6-meter prototype of the Axial Skelter is already being tested in open water and the company is seeking investors to scale production to a full range of devices by 2025.
