Optimus Energy, the leading renewable energy marketer in Greece , has contracted emsys VPP to implement a Virtual Power Plant (VPP), transforming the management of its solar and wind energy portfolio. With a total capacity of nearly 4 GW, Optimus accounts for half of the renewable energy capacity marketed in Greece.

The collaboration will allow the company to integrate more than 3,500 solar and wind plants onto the emsys VPP platform , facilitating real-time data collection and dynamic control over electricity generation . This innovation not only optimizes trading in the wholesale electricity market but also provides energy balancing services, benefiting both renewable assets and the Greek grid.
