On the third day of the ASNT 2024 international event , Jason Koshnitsky, Global Director of Industrial Shielding at NELCO, provided details on the company’s latest innovations and its nearly century-long history of radiation protection.
Founded in 1932, the company has been at the forefront of creating shielding products, from lead-shielded enclosures to high-energy vaults , providing complete design, installation and support solutions.
Flexible industrial shielding with modular innovation
During the interview, Koshnitsky highlighted the company’s recent innovation in using modular approaches to vault and bunker construction, which streamline installation and also allow for greater mobility and flexibility.
This modular approach, similar to a Lego system, allows for faster installation and the ability to easily uninstall the structure should you need to relocate it or return the space to its original state.
