Liebherr will be presenting its new Generation 6 telehandlers at Bauma 2025, which brings with it significant improvements in performance, safety and operator comfort. In addition, the company is entering the 8-metre class for the first time with the new T 48-8s model, expanding its presence in the industrial sector.
New capabilities of telescopic handlers
The redesign of Liebherr telescopic handlers focuses on increasing operational efficiency . Thanks to an increase in load capacity, the sixth generation stands out for its greater strength and flexibility in various industrial applications.
The brand’s hallmark hydrostatic drive remains the central pillar of this technology, ensuring precise manoeuvrability, reduced wear and optimum power transmission. The redesigned cab not only improves operator ergonomics, but also incorporates a ROPS/FOPS exterior grille, ensuring unrestricted panoramic vision.
Safety has been a key aspect in the development of Generation 6. High-power LED lights, multi-coloured warning signals and audible seat belt reminders improve operational safety at all times. In addition, the structure of the work lights has been optimised to provide uniform and energy-efficient illumination.
T 48-8s: Liebherr’s foray into the 8-metre class
One of the most eagerly awaited announcements is the arrival of the T 48-8s telescopic handler , marking Liebherr’s first foray into the 8-metre height category. This new model is built on the platform of the successful T 55-7s and offers high load capacity and strength, ideal for demanding industrial applications.
With an optimized lifting height, the T 48-8s expands the possibilities of use in construction , material handling and logistics, allowing greater efficiency in truck loading and storage at height.
