Floatel International has reached an agreement for the sale of the semi-submersible unit Floatel Reliance , an accommodation and support vessel built in 2010. Delivery to the new owner is expected in the second quarter of 2025.

The Reliance Floatel is a semi-submersible accommodation and security vessel designed to operate in moderate environmental conditions such as the Gulf of Mexico, the Campos Basin in Brazil and the Asia Pacific region . It is designed to meet international safety and efficiency standards for the oil and gas industry.
The vessel has a capacity of 500 people and offers facilities including cabins, a dining room, a gym, an cybercafe and a cinema room. It also has a telescopic gangway for the safe transfer of personnel between the host platform.
Technically, the Floatel Reliance is equipped with a Kongsberg DP2 dynamic positioning system and holds American Bureau of Shipping ( ABS ) certifications under the following class notations: ABS+A1, Accommodation Service, Column Stabilized Unit, FFV Class 2, +AMS, +DPS-2 .
This deal is a strategic move for Floatel International , allowing the company to adjust its fleet and focus on new opportunities within the offshore sector. Furthermore, the sale of the Floatel Reliance marks the end of a long period of inactivity for the unit, which has been out of active operation for the past few years.
