Elawan Energy to supply 37 MW of solar power to Google in Texas

The project is part of the LEAP program, co-developed by Google, which accelerates the execution of clean energy deals in record time.

Elawan Energy, a leading renewable energy company and part of the ORIX Group, has signed a major Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply solar power to Google. Through this agreement, Elawan will provide electricity from a 37 MWdc photovoltaic project in Hill County, Texas, to the technology company.

This contract, facilitated by LevelTen Energy’s LEAP platform, marks a key step in Google’s mission to operate with carbon-free energy 24 hours a day by 2030. Google has made sustainable supply one of its pillars, aiming to eliminate its carbon footprint across all the networks in which it operates.

Elawan Energy, with extensive experience in the development of wind and solar projects in North America and Europe, has strengthened its presence in the United States through this project. The solar plantplant, which will begin operating in 2026, is part of a growingis part of a growing portfolio of more than 300 MW in this region.

This agreement underscores Elawan’s commitment to the expansion of its clean energy capacity and is aligned with the vision of the ORIX Group Group’s vision of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. With an operational capacity of 1.8 GW and 8 GW under development, Elawan continues to lead the way towards a more sustainable energy future.
