Two years ago Xiaomi introduced its robot dog called CyberDog , which was inspired by Boston Dynamics models. At its annual hardware event, the brand has unveiled the second generation of its renowned robot: the Xiaomi CyberDog 2 .

This new version is smaller and lighter. So much so that during the presentation, the company demonstrated how the robot can stand on a block of tofu without damaging it.

The most notable feature of this new canine robot is its appearance, which now resembles a real dog much more . The brand has made an aesthetic redesign, even adding two small ears on the sides of his head.

CyberDog 2: a more agile and realistic model

With a weight of 8.9 kg and a height of 36.7 cm , Xiaomi compares the CyberDog 2 to a small breed dog. Despite its size, this canine robot It is equipped with a large number of sensors, including an RGB camera, an interactive camera supported by artificial intelligence (AI), four ToF sensors, a LiDAR sensor, a depth camera, an ultrasonic sensor, a sensor with a fisheye lens , a force sensor and two Ultra Wide Band sensors. In addition, it has four microphones and is compatible with Xiaomi’s AI voice algorithm .

The company has highlighted the intelligent capabilities of this robot, driven by its NX processor and two co-processors that can reach a computing power of up to 21 TOPS. The robot uses open source software, making it an attractive option for technology enthusiasts and developers who want to explore its capabilities.

The CyberDog 2 features a customizable “chassis” design and offers several color options to choose from upon purchase. In terms of price, it is valued at 12,999 yuan, approximately 1,643 euros , and will soon be available for purchase in China.
