Toyota Motor Corporation has announced its participation in the Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 , where it will showcase a number of advanced technologies. The event will be held from October 15 to 18 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, and will be a platform for collaboration between startups and leaders in the mobility industry.

The Japanese company will showcase major developments that demonstrate its focus on clean energy and the circular economy. Among the most notable innovations is a liquid hydrogen- powered GR Corolla , which has competed in endurance races both in Japan and abroad since 2021.

This model will be part of the JAMA joint exhibit, where Toyota will showcase how its participation in competitions has helped refine both the vehicles’ technology and its team’s capabilities to meet the challenges of carbon neutrality .
One of the most anticipated innovations is the introduction of the portable hydrogen cartridge , designed to make the use of hydrogen more accessible in daily life. These cartridges reduce the size and weight of current storage tanks, allowing easy transport and versatile and comfortable use.

During the event, it will be shown how this technology can be applied in residential products, such as a hydrogen stove developed in collaboration with Rinnai Corporation . And this is the beginning of high-impact commercial applications in the industry.
It will also present its sweep energy storage system , a solution designed to reuse batteries from electric vehicles that are no longer in use, allowing maximum use of their remaining capacity.

This system is aligned with the promotion of the circular economy, integrating used batteries into new energy storage systems , which contributes to the stability of the electricity supply through renewable sources such as solar and wind.
Toyota COO Gerry Larsson-Fedde stressed the importance of these innovations in reducing environmental impact and improving energy efficiency in the mobility sector. The exhibit at the Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 reinforces Toyota’s commitment to technological collaboration and the search for solutions that promote a cleaner and more sustainable future.
